Aquamarine and diamond ring, first half 20th century. Aquamarine is a pale blue variety of the mineral beryl. Its colour has given its a historic association with water, and sailors considered it a lucky talisman at sea, ensuring calm waters on their voyages. This aquamarine has been shown off here by the emerald cut; a wonderful geometric cut lending itself to the Art Deco period. Flanked by two brilliant-cut diamonds, this would make an unusual and extremely attractive choice for an engagement ring, or as a statement cocktail ring for special occasions.
Why I love it...
“ This is an extremely stunning aquamarine, the colour is magnificent. I love the diamond shoulders. This is such a special ring.”
